Student exchange experiences can be a rich and rewarding cultural experiences. We encourage students to seek exchange experiences abroad, and for families to consider hosting an exchange student.

Hosting and exchange student involves more than signing up to an authorised exchange program provider. Families and organisations seeking to enrol exchange students at the College are encouraged to contact the Enrolments Team before entering into an arrangement to host an international student.

Similarly, students who are interested in travelling overseas for exchange are encouraged to do this before Years 11 and 12, if they seek to achieve the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE). Travel during Year 11 and 12 may have a significant impact on a student’s ability to meet WACE requirements.

TAFE International WA (TIWA) manages secondary student exchange for the Department of Education including endorsement of organisations approved to coordinate student exchange.

Information about Student Exchange through TIWA can be found through this link.

Student who qualify for exchange and are approved through TIWA are subject to the same enrolment requirements as all students and must meet the enrolment criteria for the College.

Department of Education Approved Student Exchange Organisations

Contact the enrolment team at the College when considering enrolment of an exchange student who meets the above criteria and is eligible to enrol.
