This morning we held our whole College assembly to mark NAIDOC week and to reflect on what has been an interesting and challenging time for our staff and students in the time of COVID-19.

Our College community has shown incredible resilience and adaptability to ever changing circumstances. Our teachers have continued to encourage our students to strive for excellence and our students did not disappoint! Many of them performed incredibly well and achieved outstanding results across a range of sporting and academic competitions locally, nationally and on the international stage!

Whilst we would have loved to have parents here today, the circumstances meant that we had to hold the assembly as a College-only event. We look forward to sharing our assemblies with parents in the near future.
Photos of the assembly will follow tomorrow!

Our congratulations go to the amazing efforts of our students for their achievements listed below:

Virtual Interschool Swimming Carnival
Bob Hawke College won the “virtual” Interschool Swimming Carnival, with our students Rebecca Puccini and Savannah Charles jointly winning Champion Girl and James McRoberts winning Champion Boy. Congratulations to all the swimmers.

The Scribblers Festival Golden Pen Writer’s Award was won by Olivia Fechner for her brilliant piece entitled “The Eye”. You can read Olivia’s story here

GROK Web.Comp 2020
For five gruelling weeks, a group of students took part in a competition where thousands of school students come together to learn web design and development from scratch. Our students competed in beginner, intermediate and advanced streams, with Bob Hawke College remaining on the international leader board for all 5 weeks.
