It has given me a unique opportunity to work closely with our students, staff, the local and wider community to build a college that excels, both in the way we care for our students and in their academic success.
Our students’ experience is enhanced by innovative learning environments with access to cutting edge technology. We aim to enable academic excellence in a setting that also provides the highest standards in quality of care for students.
Our College motto is “Extraordinary Together”. And it’s not just words. It underpins all that we do, from appointing the teaching staff and designing the curriculum, to involving students in the College’s decision-making process.
Our motto will continue to drive the direction of the College long into the future.
‘Extraordinary’ is about students, staff and parents being the best version of themselves they can be, as we undertake this journey together.
‘Together’ is about being inclusive, not exclusive. Outwardly focussed and global thinkers. To this end, the possibilities are endless for our students, their families and the community of Subiaco and surrounding areas.
My vision is for our students, parents and staff to feel a strong sense of belonging to the College and to create an environment where we are an integral and valued part of this community.
I am a strong believer in lifelong learning, not just for our students but for our College staff, myself included.
One of the most important career lessons I have learned is that all of us can improve and learn more about our work – not because we aren’t good at it but because we can get better at what we do.
By the time our first cohort of students graduate in 2025, my hope is our College has established a reputation for excellence – in student achievement and in teacher practice.
Being a principal – it’s the best job in the world. You have an impact on the lives of children and young people, their families and staff.
It’s an incredibly humbling and privileged role.
