Community Partnerships

A range of partnerships enhance learning opportunities for students. A partnership already exists with the City of Subiaco and the Development WA which is working on the redevelopment of Subiaco East, including the site of Bob Hawke College – to transform the area and surrounds into a dynamic new community precinct.

Creative School Partnerships – FORM

FORM is a Perth-based non-profit organisation which works with all sectors of the community to explore how creativity sparks art and culture, inspires learning and social connection, and generates opportunity.

Bob Hawke College is involved in FORM’s Creative Schools program, which is about the art of learning, collaborating and listening, challenging and discovering, failing and growing, thinking and reflecting.

Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award

Bob Hawke College is proud to offer The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award to our students. This internationally recognised framework acknowledges the diverse activities and skills which participants are committed too. During their time achieving the Duke of Ed, a student will develop new skills and interests, build and strengthen friendships, and be rewarded for their efforts.

The Duke of Ed is a leading structured youth development program, empowering all young Australians between age 14 to 24 to explore their full potential regardless of their location or circumstance. It is a fully inclusive program and has no social, political, or religious affiliations. Students are able to gain recognition for extracurricular school activities and club or personal pursuits in the community as part of the framework.

Although the Duke of Ed means different things to different people, one big advantage is that it is immediately recognisable and highly regarded by companies, educational institutions and many other organisations around the world. Achievement of a Duke of Ed level demonstrates a well-rounded and committed individual who is diligent, confident and reliable; all traits that can be difficult to project onto a CV. Most of all, it is designed to be fun and fulfilling and Bob Hawke College is keen to ensure this is the case.
