To complement the existing mural project with Jackson Harvey, the Selective Art students have been developing their painting skills, with a focus on colour mixing and theory.
They have examined the contemporary Aboriginal artist Melanie Hava closely, in particular her use of line, pattern and shape. Students then experimented with a range of ideas in the inquiry process, leading them into the unpredictability of acrylic pouring.
These mixed media paintings are vibrant and encompass the beauty that Melaine Hava captures in her artwork.
